For Referring Physicians

REX Neurosurgery & Spine Specialists treat disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. They help patients with injuries and diseases, such as brain and spinal cord tumors, back and neck pain and numbness or weakness throughout the body. Drs. Buttram, Koeleveld and Lacin are among the area’s top neurosurgeons and collaborate with specialists at the UNC Department of Neurosurgery and oncologists at the REX Cancer Center to provide advanced treatment for complex and routine neurological conditions. All of our physicians work closely with our experienced physician assistants to ensure that patients have timely access to a care team member for questions.

REX Neurosurgery & Spine Specialists consider every referring physician an integral part of our care team and are committed to communication and collaboration with each patient's physician.

In addition, UNC CareLink offers a robust menu of options and page-views, allowing you to access the information you need when you need it.  If you would like information on how to gain access to UNC CareLink, please contact our physician relations department at uncrexphysicianrelations@unchealth.unc.edu.
